Close-Up Look at the New Spiderman!

July 13, 2011

The Amazing Spiderman (2012)

Here’s a nice close-up look at Andrew Garfield (The Social Network) as Spiderman in the upcoming reboot titled, The Amazing Spider-man. We get a good look at the new logo on Spidey’s chest, it’s looking less symmetrical and more stylish which I am perfectly cool with.

The colours are looking a little more fluorescent than we’re used to but I’m sure that it’ll look a better and more normal on screen. I’m looking forward to our first sneak peak!

The Amazing Spider-man is set to be released July 3rd, 2012, so we might see our first teaser in the Fall! The film stars the young talents of Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-man and Emma Stone (Zombieland) as Gwen Stacy. The man behind the camera will be none other than 500 Days of Summer director Marc Webb.

There will surely be more to come!

[NEW] Trailer: Moneyball

June 16, 2011

Brad Pitt. Jonah Hill. Serious Sports Film. Ever expect yourself to read those words together?

I definitely never expected to see a cast like this for a film like this but Moneyball looks like its..well..only seems appropriate to describe it as a potential homerun. The film is an adaptation of the book, Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game published in 2003 by Michael M. Lewis. The premise is about the Oakland Athletic’s general manager, Billy Beane and how he fundamentally shifted the way a team scouts and drafts their players and aimed to build a competitive team with his system.

Sure, my description of the premise sounds awfully boring and lame but take 2:31 of your time to watch the trailer and it will show you the wit and the heart that this film has and just how good this film can be, whether or not you know the history of these events or even a baseball fan. The screenplay for Moneyball was written by Academy Award winning screenwriter, Aaron Sorkin, most recently known for his contribution to The Social Network.

The film will be carried by talents with the likes of Brad Pitt (Fight Club), Jonah Hill (Superbad) and Philip Seymour Hoffman (Capote). With talents like these backed by the screenwriting of Aaron Sorkin, you have to admit, this film will look to surprise you, just as it did me when I watched the trailer…the first time.

Moneyball is set to be released on September 23rd of this year. What do you think? Will you watch?

The Social Network (2010)

July 14, 2010

It was simply a matter of time until this was going to be made. A film about the rise of the ever growing social monster known to us as Facebook. Last week, a teaser trailer was released for this film and it is certainly looking promising.

The Social Network, is a film that focuses on the early years of Facebook created by Mark Zuckerberg and a few of his friends in 2004. The screenplay was adapted by Aaron Sorkin from the book, The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding Of Facebook, A Tale of Sex, Money, Genius, and Betrayal. It will be directed by Fight Club‘s David Fincher and by the looks of it, he’s going to be able to add yet another great film to his resume; along with films like, Se7en, The Game, Fight Club, Zodiac and the Academy Award winning The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

So far so good! The Social Network is going to be released on October 1st, 2010. The film stars Jesse Eisenberg (Adventureland), Justin Timberlake (Black Snake Moan) and Andrew Garfield (the newly casted Peter Parker for the Spiderman Reboot!)

More updates to come!
