Limitless: Where Do I Get Me Some NZT48?

Limitless (2011) - Bradley Cooper, Robert DeNiro, Abbie Cornish

Seriously, where can I find this Limitless pill? I’ll even pay for it..

So last night I was bored and decided to watch Limitless with Bradley Cooper (A-Team). I heard some mixed reviews but I wanted to check it out for myself. The premise alone should have been enough to ensure that it will be an awesome watch, but to throw in a charismatic actor like Bradley Cooper, this movie should be amazing!

Limitless is about a failing writer who is presented with a mysterious pill that is supposed the enable him to fully unlock the use of his brain. While on the pill, Morra becomes vastly more intelligent and is able to become rich at an incredible pace, however, the more he depended on the drug known as ‘NZT48’, the worse his side effects and blackouts became. He had to find a way to manage his symptoms before something worse happened.

In my opinion, it was very good for what it was meant to offer us. They threw in a few obscure unnecessary plot twists but I think the fun of the movie was completely driven by Cooper’s character Eddie Morra. His transition from an unmotivated writer who looks like he lives on the streets of New York to a multi-talented, stock market phenom was more fun than all the twists that were thrown into the story. Whenever they threw in the twists, it knocked the film down a notch but whenever he was back to being his Limitless self, it was entertaining again. My movie watching experience was much like the character’s life on and off the drug, I loved it when he was smart and on the drug, but was disinterested when he wasn’t on it.

If it wasn’t a movie that required some sort of conflict, I would have a great time watching this guy rule the world on this Limitless drug. Turn his life into the ‘Truman Show,’ and I’d tune in every day…at least for a while.

All in all, Limitless was pretty good for what it was meant to offer us…your enjoyment of the film will peak and valley along with Bradley Cooper while on NZT48.
